Operation Warrior arrests in Blackpool and Poulton

    Officers recently conducted a stop check on a vehicle on Park Road in Blackpool. Both the driver and the passenger were searched under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs act.

    One male was found to have a singular wrap of heroin in his jacket pocket. After a further search approximately 50 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin were found on his person, along with two mobile phones.

    Addresses of both males were searched, where officers found another 60 – 80 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin. Various drug paraphernalia and weapons were also found.

    A 21-year-old male from Blackpool was arrested on possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (crack cocaine and heroin) and Class B drugs (cannabis).

    A 20-year-old male from Thornton Cleveleys was arrested for being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs (crack cocaine and heroin).

    Both males have since been released under investigation.

    Officers also recently stopped a male on Garstang Road in Poulton. The male was found to be in possession of 16 wraps of white powder, believed to be cocaine.

    A 24-year-old male from Blackpool was arrested on possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (cocaine) and has since been released under investigation.

    Operation Warrior is Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire and delivering on Police and Crime Commissioner Andrew Snowden's Fighting Crime Plan priority of disrupting and dismantling organised crime.

    It aims to target the individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation, and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.
