Where to watch the World Cup in Blackpool

    Hosted for the first time ever in the winter months, the World Cup gets underway in Qatar on Sunday.

    Whether you’re an avid footie fan or you’re just there to see enjoy a few hours with friends or family, soak up the atmosphere and revel in the spirit of football at a wide range of selected screenings around Blackpool:

    Winter Gardens

    The Olympia Exhibition Hall in Winter Gardens Blackpool is being transformed into a 26,000 square foot World Cup Fanzone ready for supporters to enjoy the World Cup tournament in the reimagined space. winter gardens fanzone

    The hall will have artificial turf laid throughout, a penalty area for VIP packages and a capacity of up to 1,000 over two floors. Catering outlets will be serving up a range of delicious hot food and drinks offers will be available from the in-house bar so fans don’t miss a minute of the action.

    Entry to the venue will be free for standing room to watch the games, with a £10 charge which will guarantee entry and a reserved seat in a prime spot in the venue in front of the 8m x 5m screen to watch the games. The £10 charge will be redeemable against bar spend upon entry.

    The Fanzone will be open for every one of the 64 games that make up the tournament and will feature backdrops, interactive games with pre-match entertainment and then a post-match party.

    VIVA Vegas Bar and Diner

    Set on Blackpool’s iconic Golden Mile, the VIVA Vegas Diner offers a trip back in time to the fabulous era of the 1950’s. This retro diner boasts some of Blackpool’s biggest LED screens, along with other huge 60″ TV screens around the venue for you to soak up the football fever. We recommend booking in advance if you are in a large group.

    Counting House

    Located opposite North Pier, this former bank which dates all the way back to 1863 will be showing a selection of the World Cup 2022 matches.

    Walkabout Blackpool

    Located in the town centre, Walkabout is showing every fixture of the FIFA World Cup 2022 on its large HD screens. You can book ahead here.

    Ma Kelly's Uncle Tom's Sports Bar

    If you're looking for a venue outside of the town centre, head to Ma Kelly's Showboat and Uncle Tom's Sports Bar. With a whopping 42 HD screens, this place will likely be rocking when the match kicks off.

    Marley’s Rum Bar

    The Caribbean-themed bar offers a delicious street food experience and specialises in rums around the world. Sit back and enjoy the match in a vibrantly colourful interior inspired by none other than Bob Marley!

    Two large projector screens will show the match and, even better, their Karaoke and Sports Lounge can be privately hired for up to 12 people for a personal experience with your friends or family.
