Officers from Fleetwood Police successfully secured a closure order for a problem address in the area.
The property, on Kemp Street Fleetwood, has been linked to numerous reports of anti-social behaviour and criminality, including noise nuisance, drug activity and physical violence.
The order was passed by Lancaster Magistrates Court on Friday 20th February under section 80 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. The closure is now in place for the next three months with strict restrictions.
Anyone without authorisation seen remaining, returning, and/or entering the property can be arrested, and could face a fine or imprisonment.
Wyre Task Force Sgt, Andy Ward, said: “We have worked closely with Wyre Council, as part of the Prosper Partnership, to secure this closure order. The property was causing persistent disturbances for neighbours, and these actions are not tolerated.
“Our teams will continue to collaborate with partners in the area to ensure anti-social behaviour and other criminality is not welcome here in Fleetwood and I would encourage anyone with concerns to report these directly to us.”
This activity was undertaken as part of Operation Centurion, which sees Lancashire Police officers robustly tackling anti-social behaviour through targeted activity and high visibility patrols.
The Prosper Partnership sees local police working alongside representatives from the public and private sector as well as local schools and community groups, launched in Lancashire as part of the Clear Hold Build strategy. The partnership aims create a joined-up approach to addressing community concerns robustly.
You can report concerns to the police by calling 101 or using the online reporting system. Always call 999 in an emergency.
