Leisure operators are being invited to help bring one of the world’s fastest-growing sports to one of Fylde’s most loved destinations.
Fylde Council has opened its formal tender for a padel tennis concession at Fairhaven Lake and Gardens.
Following an initial expression of interest exercise last year, the Council has carefully developed a robust concession opportunity that invites operators to come forward to deliver and manage padel tennis facilities at the prime Fairhaven site - home to two full-size tennis courts in a stunning lakeside setting.
The tender will run through a fully open, competitive and transparent process, with clear evaluation criteria for all bidders. The Council is looking forward to strong interest from operators across the sector.
Councillor Jayne Nixon, Lead Member for Tourism and Leisure, said: "This is a really exciting next step in bringing padel tennis to Fairhaven. We want to see innovative, ambitious operators come forward with proposals that make the most of this wonderful location, delivering a modern, vibrant sports facility that residents and visitors will genuinely love."
The tender is live from now. Interested operators can download the tender documentation chest (reference DN793521) and register here.
All tenders should be submitted by 5pm on Thursday 2 April.
