Two people have admitted to kidnapping a baby in Blackpool.
Police officers were called to Carlyle Avenue back on 19th August 2022 following reports a 10-month-old girl had been kidnapped.
They identified and arrested two suspects and safely returned the child.
Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Michael Wellings, 50, of Housman Close, Blackpool, and Lisa Green, 52, of Haddon Road, Blackpool, were charged with kidnap.
Both defendants appeared in the dock at Preston Crown Court last month, where they pleaded guilty to the single count of kidnap.
They will be sentenced at a later date following the conclusion of unrelated legal proceedings.
