A man has admitted the murder of Alison Dodds in Blackpool.
Alexander Hindley pleaded guilty at Preston Crown Court.
Police were called shortly before 11am on 21st September 2023 to an address on Redcar Road to report that 51-year-old Alison had sadly been found deceased in a flat.
A Home Office post mortem examination established that Alison died as a result of multiple serious injuries.
Following a manhunt 35-year-old Hindley, of Redcar Road, Blackpool, was arrested on suspicion of Alison’s murder four days later.
Following yesterday’s guilty plea, Judge Simon Medland KC remanded Hindley back into custody to be sentenced on 18th March.
DCI Jane Webb, of the Force Makor Investigation Team, said: “Hindley is a dangerous and nasty individual who reigned down the most appalling level of violence on Alison before her death.
“I welcome the guilty plea and it is a reflection of the overwhelming amount of evidence gathered against Hindley by our dedicated investigation team.”
