A teenager has died after getting into difficulty in the river near Garstang.
Lancashire Police said the incident happened near the cricket club at about 2:30pm on Saturday.
Officers quickly attended and found that a teenage boy was being given CPR by members of the public on the bank of the River Wyre.
He was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition but despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he passed away on Sunday.
