Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after a collision in Preston.
Officers were called at 7.55am yesterday (March 20) to Ribbleton Avenue at its junction with Acregate Lane, to a report of a road traffic collision.
They found that a Toyota Panel van had collided with a pedestrian crossing traffic light.
The driver of the van, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital and is in a serious condition.
His family are being supported by specially trained officers.
