Applications are now open to get your free water butt if you live in a Blackpool Council area.
Blackpool Council has received funding from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund for a community flood resilience project.
As part of the project, every household in Blackpool will be eligible to receive a free water butt, with flats and apartments also eligible if premises are suitable.
A spokesperson from the council told us:
"Waterbutts are great for your home and the environment. They help capture and save rainwater to be reused for a variety of purposes including watering plants, car washing, refilling ponds and cleaning windows.
They reduce the risk of flooding in heavy rain, and can save you money on your water bills.
The water butt is delivered to your home. We can assist with installation if needed."
Stocks are limited, you can find out more details and submit your application here: ⇢ www.blackpool.gov.uk/WaterButt
