A group of well-known Blackpool YouTubers have come together to raise thousands of pounds for a much-loved local charity.
Steve Cheatley from the Walk on the Wildside Channel, Pete Turner and the team at Happy Dayz Amusements & CJ's Cafe, and Chris Higgitt – better known as The £1 Burger Man – have collected an impressive £7,000 for Brian House Children's Hospice.
The fundraising total marks the second year in a row the group has raised the same amount for the charity, which supports children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the Fylde Coast.
Over the past 12 months, hundreds of subscribers from across the UK have donated to the appeal, inspired by regular mentions and fundraising pushes across the creators’ YouTube channels and social media platforms.
The organisers praised the generosity of their audiences, saying the continued support shows how online communities can make a real difference locally. They also paid tribute to the work of Brian House, describing it as a vital service for families in and around Blackpool.
Brian House Children’s Hospice relies heavily on donations to fund its specialist care, and supporters say the £7,000 boost will help the charity continue its work over the coming year.
The YouTubers have hinted they hope to repeat the fundraising effort again, encouraging their followers to keep supporting local causes that matter.
