Extra police powers have been used in Preston after an attack on a teenage boy.
A 15-year-old was assaulted with a baseball bat in Fishwick on Saturday.
Lancashire Police introduced a Section 60 order overnight, allowing stop and search powers.
Officers say the boy’s injuries are not life-threatening.
The order has now expired, but patrols remain in the area.
