Bus boss calls for M6 improvements

The boss of Preston Bus is calling for urgent safety improvements on the M6.

Thomas Calderbank has written to the transport secretary about the long-term effects of carriageway closure are having on services.

He says the motorway closures "have directly impacted bus services, drivers, and most importantly, its passengers".

Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Transport Lillian Greenwood agreed to meet local MP Maya Ellis to discuss the issues after she raised her concerns in the House of Commons.
