Supporters of Blackpool's North Pier have been asked to get involved in a public consultation into how the town's landmarks should be protected in future.
Blackpool Council is currently developing its new Heritage Investment Strategy, looking at how Blackpool’s landmark buildings, historic spaces and unique heritage should be protected, restored and funded for future generations.
An online survey is taking place to gather views from the public, with a closing date of this Wednesday August 26.
A post on the North Pier Facebook page called on "everyone who loves North Pier to make their voice heard".
"When completing it, please tell the Council what YOU would like to see happen at North Pier," it says.
Ideas might include:
"Reinstating the historic jetty and celebrating the Pier's maritime heritage.
"Restoring and investing in the theatre, protecting its history while creating a fantastic entertainment venue for future generations.
"Restoring and preserving North Pier's Victorian architecture and heritage features.
"Investing in the seaward end of the Pier and creating new reasons for visitors to walk the full length of this incredible landmark.
"Supporting live entertainment, music, theatre and traditional seaside culture.
"Developing new heritage-led attractions and experiences telling the story of North Pier and Blackpool through the generations.
"And, most importantly, tell them your own ideas.
"North Pier has been part of Blackpool since 1863. Generations of families have walked its boards, watched shows, danced, laughed and made memories here.
"We now have an opportunity to make sure this wonderful piece of Blackpool's heritage has an equally exciting future."
The survey is asking people to say what matters most about Blackpool's heritage
"Blackpool Council has prepared a proposed Heritage Investment Strategy for 2026-2031," it says.
"The strategy aims to protect and celebrate Blackpool's heritage, support communities, improve places and encourage future investment.
"We would like to hear your views to help ensure the strategy reflects what matters most to local people."
The survey is being conducted by Blackpool council’s in-house research service, Infusion,
