Three large dogs found roaming the streets of Preston the day before Halloween have been confirmed as wolf-dogs following DNA testing.
The animals, found abandoned on 30 October, went viral online due to their wolf-like appearance.
Although Preston City Council initially identified them as German Shepherd-type dogs, specialists at Wolves of Wiltshire later confirmed they are nearly 50 per cent grey wolf.
The emaciated siblings – Little Timmy, Boo and Brooke – are now safe and recovering at the licensed rescue centre.
