A singer songwriter from Kirkham has been backed by the legendary Sir Paul McCartney and Peter Kay.
Emily Rhodes was selected for a one to one songwriting session with the former Beatle after recently completing a songwriting and performance degree at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) that was founded by Sir Paul.
Emily had funded her degree at LIPA by working as a production assistant on comedian Peter Kay's tour, where she performed her new single 'Famous to Me' during one of Kay's sell-out shows at the O2 Arena in London.
She said of her songwriting session with McCartney, that he seemed to really enjoy it, and said she had great songs and a great voice.
