A man has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering after cash was found in a car stopped on the M65 in East Lancashire.
On Monday police stopped and searched a black Audi A6 on the M65 at Darwen and found £9,000 cash, with a further £3,500 cash found at the driver’s home address following a search.
The driver, a 36 year old man from Nelson, was arrested on suspicion of money laundering.
He has since been released under investigation.
