Lancashire Police says a man has been charged following the theft of a charity collection box from a McDonald’s restaurant in Leyland.
The incident happened on 28 April, when a man allegedly entered the restaurant, picked up the charity collector and left the premises.
Police say two beer kegs were also stolen later the same day from a nearby shop on Leyland Lane.
Wayne Collins, 31, of Northbrook Gardens, has been charged with theft from a shop and theft including theft by finding.
He is due to appear at Preston Magistrates' Court on 22 May.
