Preparations for the long-awaited Tram Bridge lift in Preston are almost complete, with the 75-metre crane due to reach full height today [Saturday].
The first section of the new bridge is expected to be lifted into place on Sunday morning, with the best viewing point at Avenham Park on the north side of the river.
High winds of up to 48 miles an hour are forecast on Monday, so no lifts are likely.
Work may resume on Tuesday, weather permitting.
