The sister of a young man killed in a motorcycle crash has paid tribute, calling him her “protector and safe place.”
Twenty-one-year-old Alexander Birnie from Burnley died on the A683 near Kirkby Lonsdale on Bank Holiday Monday. Police say no other vehicles were involved.
His 17-year-old sister Isabelle described him as funny, loyal and deeply loved, adding he dreamed of one day racing on track.
Cumbria Police are appealing for witnesses and thanked those who stopped to help at the scene.
