Two teenagers were arrested after a report of an assault involving the use of a knife in Blackpool town centre.
They were called yesterday afternoon after reports of an incident in the Houndshill Shopping Centre.
A short time later, two teenage males were arrested in the town centre and taken into police custody.
No serious injuries were suffered during the incident.
There was an increased police presence in the town centre as a result
After consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, a 17 year old from Blackpool has now been charged with Attempt Grievous Bodily Harm, Affray and Threatening with a Bladed Article.
He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Blackpool Magistrates Court tomorrow (Monday 7th November).
The second male arrested has been released under investigation.
