Police have issued an update after a woman was found deceased inside a property in Blackpool.
Officers and colleagues from the North-West Ambulance Service attended an address in Severn Road at 7.03pm on Boxing Day following reports a woman was unresponsive.
When they entered, they sadly found a woman in her 70s deceased.
A Home Office post mortem examination took place yesterday afternoon and police are now satisfied there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. A file will be prepared for HM Coroner in due course.
A 47-year-old man from Manchester arrested on suspicion of murder has since been released no further action.
Police added that their thoughts remain with the woman’s loved ones at this difficult time.
