Three men have been jailed for their part in a fight in a Blackburn car park.
It happened on 23rd July 2022 and involved two rival groups.
Police were alerted by staff at Royal Blackburn Hospital that two men had attended for treatment for stab wounds.
They were Amjad Faqy (pictured left) and Twana Gharib (pictured middle), who told officers they had been attacked in a fight in Blackburn, with Bilbas Tahir (pictured right) one of those involved.
Our officers began enquiries and CCTV from the Go Outdoors store on Throstle Street captured the fight.
Two vehicles were seen to arrive, with several people getting out carrying weapons and walking towards one another before the fight broke out.
After the fight, the two groups separated and left in their respective vehicles.
Tahir, 43, of Woodlea Road, Blackburn, Faqy, 52, of Bombay Street, Blackburn, and Gharib, 35, of no fixed address, appeared at Preston Crown Court this week for sentence after pleading guilty to violent disorder.
All three were jailed – Tahir for 23 months, Gharib for 21 months and Faqy for 20 months.
Det Con Matthew Gallagher of Lancashire Police, said: “This was a serious outbreak of disorder in a public place in Blackburn.
“Weapons were used by people in the two groups and there were injuries inflicted.
“Lancashire Police take all reports of violence seriously and will look to bring those who choose to involve themselves into violence, to justice.”
