A woman has died following a collision in a supermarket carpark in Blackburn.
Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following the fatal collision, after being called to the first floor of Morisons carpark just before 2:30pm today (24th May) following reports a black Honda Jazz car had collided with a pedestrian.
Emergency services attended and found a woman in her 60s with a number of serious injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: ‘’We are aware of people at the scene filming the aftermath of the collision on their mobile phones.
‘’We would ask that they do not circulate that footage as it would be incredibly upsetting for the woman’s loved ones.’’
Any witnesses or anyone with footage which captures the collision is asked to email SCIU@lancashire.police.uk or call 101. Quote log 757 of 24th May 2024.
