During the last two weeks police have carried out a series of warrants targeting people suspected of operating drug lines to supply heroin and cocaine in Preston.
Officers raided a number of addresses in Preston and made arrests as part of Op Warrior, with large quantities of drugs and cash seized. An arrest was also made in Manchester.
In total, police have charged 24 people with drug supply offences, and will be making further enquiries.
Det Sgt Richard Clancy of Preston Intelligence Department, said: “This is an ongoing investigation into the supply of Class A drugs in Preston.
“We were assisted by the British Transport Police County Lines team and officers from Greater Manchester Police, and I would like to thank them for their help.”
They have all appeared before Preston Magistrates Court and will appear at Preston Crown Court in due course.
Clive Grunshaw, Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire said: “It's great to see Op Warrior's continued success in the fight against organised crime gangs that attempt to operate here in Lancashire.
"I will continue to back the Constabulary to ensure we tackle organised crime at full force – removing drugs from our streets, safeguarding vulnerable people and ensuring that suspects are arrested and brought to justice.
“Getting tough on serious violent crime is a priority in my Police and Crime Plan, and I will continue to hold the Chief Constable to account for tackling organised crime and making Lancashire a safe place for all.”
