Detectives are appealing for a key witness to come forward after a person was found dead at Preston railway station on Saturday morning.
Officers were called to Preston railway station just after 1am (29 November) after a member of the public reported a casualty at the station to a member of staff.
Officers attended, alongside paramedics, however a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries remain ongoing into the circumstances leading up to their death.
Detectives are urgently appealing for the man who first reported the incident to contact police to aid their investigation.
He is believed to have travelled on a train bound for Blackpool North which left Preston railway station at 12.58am.
