Preston’s City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team have secured a closure order at a problem address.
The flat on Driscoll Street has been involved in a number of incidents involving drug-dealing, anti-social behaviour and noise nuisance.
Officers saw the order granted at Preston Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday 14th October 2026) under section 80 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Closures are now active for three months which prohibits anyone from visiting the property.
Anyone breaching the order will be arrested and face potential fine or imprisonment.
Sgt Tom Rettie from the City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This closure order sends a clear message that we will not tolerate properties being used as a base for criminality in our communities.
“The issues linked to this address have caused significant concern for local residents and have had a detrimental impact on their quality of life.
“Working with our partners, we have taken positive action to disrupt the criminal activity taking place and protect the wider community.
“We understand the harm that this type of behaviour causes and will continue to identify and target those who believe they can operate above the law.”
