A man in his 60s has died following a collision between a bicycle and a car in Chorley.
Emergency services were called at shortly before midday on Monday, June 1, after the collision between a purple and silver mountain bike and a Citroen C4 at the pedestrian crossing on Union Street.
The cyclist, a man in his 60s from the Chorley area, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed while we dealt with the incident.
Det Sgt Stuart Hart, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This collision has very sadly resulted in the death of a man, and my thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.
“I would appeal to anyone who either witnessed the collision itself or who has any CCTV, dashcam, or mobile footage, to get in touch.”
