King Charles visits Lancashire today.
His Majesty visits the county for the second time since he was crowned, in a full day visit, including to Clitheroe and Preston.
The King is expected to meet farmers, local manufacturers and members of the public when he visits Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley on Monday, before visiting other parts of the county.
The King will be welcomed at Clitheroe Station by the Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire, Amanda Parker, and civic dignitaries, including Ribble Valley Mayor Simon O’ Rourke and Ribble Valley Borough Council chief executive Sarah Threlfall.
He is also visiting Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses in Inglewhite, to officially open their new ‘cheese campus’ - a major, generational investment that brings all of the fourth-generation family cheesemaker's production back to the farm, following a devastating fire at the site two years ago.
The King will also carry our further private engagements in other parts of the county.
In June 2025 the monarch, who is also the Duke of Lancaster, visited Lancaster, where he received the keys to the castle in front of the John O'Gaunt gateway as part of an ancient ceremonial tradition.
