A woman in her 80s has suffered serious injuries in a collision in Preston.
The emergency services were called at 1.50pm on Friday to Blackpool Road, Ashton, Preston, near to the junctions with Cottam Lane and Pedders Lane.
Officers attended and found that a Toyota Aygo car had been in collision with a pedestrian – a woman in her 80s.
She suffered head, chest and leg injuries and was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the Toyota stopped at the scene.
