On Sunday 2 November at 3 pm, the Blackpool Symphony Orchestra (BSO) takes the stage at the historic Blackpool Grand Theatre to present its much-anticipated “Halloween Prom” – a 50-piece orchestra event specially crafted for fun, family and fright.

Then it gets theatrical: from the swirling flights of witches on broomsticks in Witches’ Sabbath (Witches’ Sunday) by Hector Berlioz, to the windswept terror of the Night on Bald Mountain by Modest Mussorgsky, and the blazing intensity of the Ritual Fire Dance (Manuel de Falla) to warm the cast and audience alike. The concert culminates in the vivid crescendo of The Firebird Finale (Igor Stravinsky) and a visit to the legendary Mountain King’s Hall in In the Hall of the Mountain King by Edvard Grieg.
