Passmore steps into spotlight with deeply personal Viva headline debut

A celebration of growth, music and memory as the long-time Viva performer launches his most personal show to date.

A performer who has spent seven years lighting up resident productions at Viva Blackpool is now preparing to take centre stage alone — or, as he puts it, “solo… kind of”.

Passmore Live is the brain child of local peformer Kyle Passmore and marks his first headline show at the venue, he describes it as “the most personal show I’ve ever created.” Far from being just another date in the diary, the night has been designed as a reflection of his journey, the people who have influenced him and the music that has shaped different chapters of his life.

“This isn’t just another gig for me it’s a celebration of my journey, the people who have shaped me, and the music that has carried me through so many different chapters of my life,” he said.

While he may be stepping out under his own name, the show will feature a host of collaborators, dancers and special guests. He has carefully chosen performers who have shared stages with him, toured alongside him or played a significant role in his development both personally and professionally.

“The night brings together incredible performers, special collaborations, dancers, spotlight moments and surprises, all built around live music, storytelling and connection,” he explained. “Every person appearing in the show has played a part in my journey in some way.”

The production promises powerful live vocals, emotional storytelling and one-night-only moments, blending spectacle with sincerity. Audiences can expect a mixture of uplifting musical numbers and deeply personal reflections.

The timing of the show is also significant. Over the past six months, he says he has taken time to reflect and rebuild his confidence. “For the first time in a long time, I’m starting to feel proud of who I am and genuinely happy within myself,” he said. “This show represents that moment for me.”

April was chosen for deeply personal reasons, following the loss of someone he describes as his biggest supporter. He sees the headline performance not only as a professional milestone, but as a tribute.

“I wanted to create a night that feels emotional, uplifting, powerful and full of heart — something audiences don’t just watch, but truly experience,” he said.

Passmore Live takes place on Friday 10 April, with doors opening at 6.30pm and the show beginning at 8pm. Tickets are available via the Viva Blackpool website here: https://www.vivablackpool.com/event/passmore-live/
