A Thornton Cleveleys man has been jailed for shoplifting offences.
On Sunday 28th April 2024, a man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and attempted robbery after entering a store in the Thornton Cleveleys area.
Anthony Monaghan, 58, of no fixed address, was later charged with eight shoplifting offences and one attempted robbery offence from between 12th January 2024 and 20th April 2024.
This week he was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison for the shoplifting offences.
He will reappear before the courts on 29th May 2024 in relation to the attempted robbery.
