A rogue landscaper and roofer who scammed four householders in Chorley and Manchester out of thousands of pounds has been given a suspended 22-month jail sentence.

Two people have been arrested as part of an investigation into the death of a man from Blackburn.

Two residents at a care home in Blackpool were rushed to hospital following a fire and 21 others were treated at the scene.
