Hundreds of aerospace engineers in Lancashire are to strike in a dispute over pay.
The Unite union says around four hundred staff at BAE Systems’ Warton and Samlesbury sites will walk out between the fifth and twenty-fifth of November after rejecting a 3.6 percent offer.
BAE says the rise is fair and already accepted elsewhere, adding that the workers represent less than three-and-a-half percent of its local workforce.
Unite calls the deal a real-terms pay cut.
