A Blackpool resident is calling for more disabled parking spaces after figures revealed there are just 96 bays for over 10,000 Blue Badge-holders in the town.
Brian Roberts, 66, says it’s “scandalous” compared with other seaside resorts and claims spaces are often full, with some turning into taxi ranks after six in the evening.
Blackpool Council says badge holders can also park for free in more than 3,000 pay-and-display bays, insisting there are plenty of options.
Mr Roberts will raise the issue at a council meeting later this month.
