The holiday season is approaching, and the city of Preston is gearing up to celebrate in style.
This year's Christmas in Preston promises a diverse array of festivities, offering something for everyone to enjoy. From the highly-anticipated Christmas Light Switch On to family film screenings, creative workshops, and choir showcases, Christmas in Preston is set to be a season of togetherness, joy, and celebration.
Whether you're in the mood for a meeting Santa, exploring your artistic side, visiting a Christmas Market or being a part of the illumination of Preston's streets, there's an event for everyone.
The highlight of the season will be the Fire Garden at Avenham & Miller Parks, a display of fire and light that promises to transform the parks into a place of wonder and excitement. In addition, you can step back in time and explore the festive traditions of three Georgian Christmases, join over 100 choirs in the showcase on the Flag Market, and watch classic films with family and friends.
Councillor Peter Kelly, Cabinet member for Arts and Culture at Preston City Council, said: “Christmas in Preston is a celebration of togetherness, joy, and the magic of the season.
‘’We invite you to join us in making memories and creating a sense of community as we come together to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. Let's make this festive season in Preston one to remember.”
