Ultrabeat to headline Darwen Christmas Lights Switch-On

Darwen is set to kick off the festive season in spectacular style as chart-topping dance legends Ultrabeat have been announced as the headline act for this year’s Darwen Christmas Lights Switch-On.

The hugely-popular annual event will once again transform Darwen Market Square into a festive celebration packed with family entertainment, live performances, festive shopping and seasonal cheer, culminating in a headline performance from Ultrabeat – whose huge hits including Pretty Green Eyes, Feelin’ Fine and Better Than Life have filled dancefloors across the UK for more than two decades.

Visitors can expect a full day of festive fun, with market stalls open from 10am on Saturday November 14, offering seasonal gifts, food and festive treats, alongside a circus skills workshop, walkabout characters, local dance and community performances, fairground rides and a packed programme of entertainment right throughout the day.

Families will also be able to enjoy a host of magical Christmas experiences, including a festive Elf Trail around the town centre, an interactive Elf Show, enchanting Father Christmas storytelling sessions at Darwen Market, and a stunning fire spectacular guaranteed to light up the evening and add even more festive magic to the celebrations.

As darkness falls and the countdown to Christmas begins, Ultrabeat will help get the party started before Darwen’s Christmas lights are switched on, creating the perfect soundtrack for the town’s biggest festive celebration.

The event is organised by Blackburn with Darwen Council, supported by Darwen Town Council and managed by Crafty Vintage, helping to deliver one of the region’s most anticipated festive celebrations.
