Electric vehicle drivers in the North West can now access over 5,600 public chargepoints, thanks to a 27% rise in the past year.
Minister Lilian Greenwood says the boost will ease range anxiety and support the region’s growing switch to EVs.
It follows new government discounts of up to £3,750 on electric cars and £25 million for home charging, all part of a £4.5 billion investment in greener transport.
