Police have charged a man with murder following a fatal stabbing in Colne.
Officers were called to New Market Street, Colne, at 2.26pm on Sunday (31st March) where paramedics were treating a man with a number of serious injuries.
The man - 34-year-old Richard Chamberlain from Colne - died a short time later.
Richard’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
A postmortem examination established the cause of Richard’s death was multiple stab wounds.
A 44-year-old man from Colne was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of Richard’s murder.
Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, police have charged Frank Wrona, 44, of New Market Street, Colne, with murder.
He has been remanded into custody to appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court.
