Two men have been arrested after a five-year-old boy was struck by a car in Accrington.
Police say the child was hit by a white Toyota Prius on Belfield Road at around 5:45 on Friday evening. He remains in hospital with serious injuries.
Two 20-year-old men from the town are being held on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
