Police are appealing for information and footage after a child was seriously injured in a collision in Bacup.
Emergency services were called at about 10.40am on Tuesday (May 26th) following the collision between a VW Up and a child riding a balance bike on Meadow Avenue in Bacup.
The child, a boy aged five, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
While significant, his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The driver of the VW Up remained at the scene and is assisting police with their inquiries.
Sgt Josh Begbie, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision left a young boy with some very serious injuries, and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened or who has any footage such as CCTV, dashcam, or Ring doorbell to get in touch.”
