A drug dealer who was twice found in possession of heroin and crack cocaine in Burnley, has been jailed.
On 8th December last year, David Green (pictured) was seen driving a VW Caddy on Plumbe Street and was involved in a suspected drugs transaction.
Officers tried to detain Green when the van stopped nearby but he broke free and fled from the area.
A search of the Caddy found 12 knotted plastic packages of crack cocaine and four knotted plastic packages of heroin, together with two iPhones.
An examination of one of the iPhones found text messages which were indicative of drugs supply.
Searches were made for Green and on 27th January, an arrest enquiry was made at an address in Parklands View, Burnley.
Entry was forced and Green was found hiding in the loft. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.
The house was searched, with 56.7g of heroin and 13g of crack cocaine found in plastic containers – with a value of £4,210 – together with £1,456 cash and a set of weighing scales.
Green, 41, of Longton Road, Burnley, pleaded guilty to possession of crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply, and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
Appearing for sentence this week (2nd March) at Burnley Crown Court, Green was jailed for five years and seven months.

“David Green was twice found in possession of crack cocaine and heroin with the clear intent of supplying to others.”
