Burnley is preparing to turn up the volume once again as Burnley Live returns with four days of music and entertainment across the town.
The much-loved free, annual music festival, which first launched in 2019 and was shortlisted at this year’s Culture Burnley awards, is returning for 2026 bigger and better than ever. Offering an eclectic mix of entertainment, event-goers can enjoy everything from live acoustic singers and DJ sets to tribute acts and karaoke sessions.
Organised by Remedy Gin Bar and Bar Mojitos in conjunction with Burnley Business Improvement District (BID) and supported by Petty Real, more than 20 venues across Burnley will open their doors (and beer gardens!) ready for an exciting weekend of live music. From indie and rock to pop and punk, the festival will cover all genres and feature a headline stage, sponsored by Prospect Homes, on Ormerod Street on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd, showcasing an incredible line-up of local bands and musicians.
Jason Cothliff, Burnley BID Project Manager said: “Burnley Live has quickly established itself as one of the highlights of the town’s annual events calendar and we’re incredibly proud to be a part of the team bringing it back for 2026.
‘’This event is all about celebrating Burnley’s brilliant local talent, supporting our fantastic venues and creating a real buzz across the town over the Bank Holiday weekend.
‘’With more venues, more acts and something for everyone to enjoy, Burnley Live is a great example of how we can bring people together, drive footfall and showcase everything our town has to offer.”
Madge Nawaz, organiser of Burnley Live and owner of Remedy Gin Bar, who received the Creative Excellence Award at last week’s Culture Burnley awards, said: “Since its launch in 2023, Burnley Live has become a really popular event for the town and provides a great opportunity to support local musicians and Burnley’s grassroots music scene.
‘’It’s a weekend that people genuinely look forward to and enjoy and creates a brilliant atmosphere right across the town.”
With lots of Burnley venues signing up to take part this year, the four-day festival is packed with exciting events, performances and offers.
