The Colne Gala returns next weekend.
It takes place on Saturday, 20th June and will kick off with a street parade at 11am featuring local community groups, local businesses, local primary schools, drumming groups, superheroes and villains, stilt walkers, dance groups, and unique vehicles,
The fun will continue with a range of family friendly fun taking place up at Holt House Playing Fields from 12pm, including a variety of free entertainment taking place including face painting, climbing wall, rodeo banana, Punch & Judy shows, crazy golf, circus workshops and shows, wrestling shows, drumming workshops, balloon Modelling, and a Leap of Faith.
The event will also feature some fantastic entertainment including the unmissable daredevil BMX stunt show, dance performances from local groups and live music on the main stage throughout the day from Andrew Gilmour, Ally & Joe, Birdhouse Duo all before our stage finale with our K Pop Demon Hunters Tribute.
There will also be a fun fair, which is open from Friday evening, giant inflatables and ac Gala Market showcasing everything from toys to Asian treats, wax melts to 3D printed items.
Nathan Cutler, Colne Town Council's Events Officer, said: "The Colne Gala is an iconic event in the Colne event calendar, the long standing event features an array of free entertainment with there being something for everyone to enjoy.
There will be a rolling road closure in place around 11am from the Crown Hotel, up to the traffic lights on Market Street and then down Skipton Road onto Norfolk Street, and delays are expected.
