A group of Palestine teenagers received a warm welcome by the borough’s Mayor when they visited Blackburn Town Hall on Monday.
The delegation of seven young people, aged between 13 and 16 years old, from the West Bank, visited the Mayor as part of a two-week goodwill trip to the UK.
Received by the Mayor Cllr Brian Taylor, the young people were welcomed into the Mayor’s Parlour and shown round the 172-year-old Council Chambers.
For most of them this was the first experience of travel abroad.
The visit, facilitated by Youth Action, is part of the Building Hope/Voices from Palestine project led by human rights charity CADFA.
