A new cycle hub has been unveiled at Preston Station which aims to make riding around the city easier, safer and more inclusive. 

A teacher at a Preston secondary school says the high standards for which it has been recognised risk being unravelled by plans to turn it into an academy – and that staff are fighting “to save our school community as we know it”.

Residents across Lancashire are being invited to have their say on a plan about making sure the county has enough of the materials, such as sand, gravel and stone to build homes, roads and other things, in the future.
