Police have charged a man with drugs and weapons offences following a series of warrants in Preston earlier this week.
Officers from the Preston Task Force and Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out four warrants under Section 8 PACE at addresses on Pope Lane, Burholme Close, Mitton Drive and Sheardley Avenue.
Three people, two men and a woman, were arrested and following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service we can now tell you that David Burland, 59, of Pope Lane, Preston is charged with ten counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place and possession of a controlled drug.
He has been released on bail and will appear at Preston Magistrates Court on 13th August 2026.
A 21-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of money laundering has been released under investigation and a 21-year-old man has been given an adult caution for possession of a Class B drug.
