A man has been jailed for stealing designer clothing from a store in Preston.
It relates to an incident at Tessuti in Preston on Friday 19th December 2024 where two jackets worth around £800, were taken from the store.
Last week, following multiple enquiries, Gary Stock was arrested by the Preston City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team and was charged with theft from a shop.
On Monday, (23rd December 2024), Stock, 42 of Maudland Bank, Preston, appeared at Preston Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison.

The operation sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.
