Easter weekend events announced for Colne

A programme of Easter events has been announced for Colne.

On Saturday 30th March there will be a jam-packed day filled with lots of family friendly fun.

A range of free activities will be available including donkey rides, face painting, crazy golf, rodeo sheep, archery, circus shows & workshops, Punch & Judy Shows, Ccomedy magic shows, balloon modelling, and more.

Live music comes from the Andrew Gilmour & Tom Scothern, Easter goodies will be handed out by Willy Wonka & his Oompa Loompas, and there’ll be performances from the world famous Accrington Pipe Band, and an Easter egg trail.

The event will also feature a huge Easter market consisting of more than 45 traders, a variety of funfair rides and a very special guest joining on the day.

Colne Town Council’s Events & Facilities Officer, Nathan Cutler, said, “Easter in Colne is always such an incredible event.

‘’The 2023 event was so busy and we cannot wait to do it all over again this year, it really kick starts the beginning of the warmer months ahead and we cannot wait to showcase some fantastic family friendly entertainment.

‘’The event will include so many brilliant activities and performances allowing people to come and spend a day out in Colne without having to worry too much about the costs involved.’’
