A popular amusements arcade is making a fresh start with a new name, a new brand and an eye to the future.
For many years Harts Amusements was a well known attraction on Bispham seafront, pulling in generations of customers at the corner of Red Bank Road and the promenade.
The building became something of a local landmark in its own right.
But now new signage has recently been installed for the re-named Treasure Cove, which has seen a major £100,000 investment by boss Chris Oldland who took over the amusements in 2024 and has brought in new machines and a new approach.
The arcade has a sister site, Treasure Island, at the top of Victoria Road West in Cleveleys.
Area manager Lee Preston-Stefani said: “We appreciate the legacy of Harts but we’re looking to open a new chapter which will excite people.
“The machines we offer are redemption models, which allow players to win tickets rather than cash and they can then use their tickets to claim prizes.
“We also offer incredibly reasonable prices because we are part of the wholesale business ITM Ltd , which allows us to buy prizes in bulk and pass the savings onto the customer.
“We are keen to get our name out there, including on social media platforms, to let people know what we offer.”
As a sign of the new drive into the future, Treasure Cove will be playing host to a special event on Wednesday April 29, when 30 content creators and one guest each will be invited to try out 20 machines as part of a social media promotion with a difference.
The content creators night will be a closed event and will offer guests a welcome drink and a chance to play on 20 of the machines twice.
Lee, who for many years ran the much-loved Harbour Lights amusements arcade in Fleetwood, added: “We’re in a really good spot, just across from the Illuminations and the start of Ride the Lights.”
Duty manager Michael Buston is a familiar face at the Bispham site and said: “We’ve done a lot of alterations and put own stamp on the place,
“Basically, the idea is for people to come here and have fun.”
